These Logging Tongs will lift upright or pull a log.
I had some extra cant hooks so I decided to make a log tongs.

These tongs do not have the counter lever for squeeze.
I will add 4 rubber pressure bands as pictured for extra squeeze if needed (they did fine for me without the rubber bands).

The hooks are genuine Antique Blacksmith hand forged cant hooks.
They open up for a Maximum 20 diameter log.

(I just sharpened the 2 bits)(Currently using 5/16 bolts, could be opened to 3/8 but it is working well as is.

Well the hook and link are like new out of my stock.
Its coming along nicely, I would like to run a couple weld beads across those outer tee plates, but I designed it to work also as is.

I suspect you will not have problems.
Tech tip, these tongs work good sding on a road, as I sded a log 200 yards on asphalt and it was enough to wear the chain links in half, ouch, wish I had these tongs for that s.
